Telltale Games Dates Jurassic Park: The Game, Annouces The Walking Dead!

The folks at Sam & Max studio Telltale Games are buzzing like the busy bees they are today with two more big announcements: Jurassic Park: The Game is set to launch in April, and Robert Kirkman has inked a multi-year deal with the studio to transform his zombie comic classic The Walking Dead into a video game.

The San Rafael, California-based studio just launched Episode 2 in its planned five-part Back to the Future video game series, and it revealed that its previously announced take on the Jurassic Park franchise is not far behind.

The first episode of Jurassic Park: The Game will debut on PC and Mac sometime in April, Telltale announced, and the full five-episode series is now available for pre-order for $30 ($5 off the price of buying all five individually).

In addition, Telltale confirmed the rumors that have been circulating the tubes: The Walking Dead are coming. Over at IGN, series creator Robert Kirkman reveals he's now working closely with Telltale to map out all the details of exactly what kind of game The Walking Dead will be. Information is scarce at this point, but Kirkman did say the game will be episodic, multiplatform, and it will be closely linked to the comics and not the new AMC television series.

More details on Jurassic Park: The Game are coming soon, and we'll keep you posted on The Walking Dead.

UPDATE: And we thought Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, and The Walking Dead would be plenty to keep Telltale busy. Turns out the studio is also set to begin work on episodic games based on the Fables comic book series, and classic PC fantasy adventure series King's Quest. Wow. More details to come.
